A New Chapter Begins for Handspun Hope!
On a joy-filled day in June, our Handspun Hope community gathered to celebrate a remarkable milestone in the organization's history. After months of prayer, planning, and building—both physically and relationally—we are overjoyed to announce the official opening of our brand-new campus: a space envisioned to provide healing, creativity, and opportunity for generations to come
The women of Handspun Hope gather on the ramp of the new Creative Center + Worship Hall
This new campus is more than new buildings. It is a manifestation of hope. It is a safe space for survivors of trauma to find peace, dignity, and a sense of purpose. It is a place where women are not only employed but are empowered. And now, it is also a place where their children can thrive.
The newly completed two-story early childhood education center will soon be full of life and laughter. Designed to serve the children of the women we employ, the center will provide quality care and education in a nurturing environment. No longer will these mothers have to choose between work and the well-being of their children.
We also opened our new Worship + Creative Center, a multi-use facility where women can gather to grow spiritually, artistically, and communally. Whether it's a morning devotion, skills training, or a time of celebration, this space reflects our core belief that beauty and healing go hand in hand.
The campus dedication took place as we celebrated our 18th anniversary—a powerful reminder of how far God has brought us since we began with just ten women and a vision to restore dignity through dignified work. Today, Handspun Hope employs over 200 Rwandan women, each one contributing to the heart and soul of this ministry.
We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the countless friends and supporters—both near and far—who made this dream a reality. Your prayers, gifts, and unwavering belief in what is possible through faith and community have built something lasting. This campus is your legacy, too.
As we look to the future, we invite you to continue walking with us. There is still more to build, more to restore, and more lives waiting to be transformed by hope.
With hearts full of joy,
The Handspun Hope Team
